Calculate Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) for satellite photos.

Description

NDVI Calculator takes imagery from an optical satellite and calculates Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). It produces georeferenced raster output, which can be inspected visually or used for further processing. The output can be opened in GIS tools like QGIS or ArcGIS.

Technical description

This block supports the following input data blocks:

  • Landsat-8 Level 1 (TOA) AOI clipped (Sentinel Hub)
  • Pléiades Download (OneAtlas)
  • Sentinel-2 L1C MSI Full Scenes (Sobloo)
  • Sentinel-2 Level 2 (BOA) AOI clipped (Sentinel Hub)
  • SPOT 6/7 Download (OneAtlas)

The block can visualize NDVI as RGB GeoTIFF file. With the parameter colormap, the user can choose the colormap which will be used in rendering.

It also is possible to get raw output, i.e. single band GeoTIFF file with matrix containing NDVI values.
